To address the growing concerns about accelerating software delivery without compromising application quality, Parasoft is pleased to announce the SDLC Acceleration Summit 2014, which will be held on Tuesday, May 13th, 2014 in South San Francisco. This vendor agnostic summit will be hosting speakers from the world’s top technology companies. Topics addressed at the summit include:

  • The Future of the SDLC
  • Integrity within the Software Supply Chain
  • Reassessing the True Cost of Software Quality
  • Gaining a Competitive Advantage via an Advanced Software Delivery Process

Co-Hosted by thought leaders in software infrastructure Electric Cloud, Parasoft, PerforceSkytap, and more, the SDLC Acceleration Summit 2014 will also highlight key strategies, industry trends and innovations about ensuring the quality, security and reliability of the software development lifecycle.

To kick off this event, Theresa Lanowitz, software industry expert and founder of voke, inc., will be delivering the keynote.

“We are honored to be a part of the first SDLC Acceleration Summit and applaud the sponsors for creating a unique forum for discussion. The voke keynote on extreme automation will discuss the seemingly paradoxical need to deliver on an insatiable demand for quality software while balancing time-to-market pressures,” stated Theresa Lanowitz, Analyst and Founder of voke inc. “We will explore how modern tooling, such as those in the lifecycle virtualization category, will help bring about the much needed—and often overlooked— communication and collaboration of development, quality assurance, and operations teams.”

“Every organization is being challenged today to innovate and increase the quality of their software through faster releases,” said Steve Brodie, CEO of Electric Cloud. “The continuous delivery of applications is the only way to achieve the speed required to meet the new normal of customer demand. We’ve been delivering on that promise for years, and are excited to share those experiences and lessons learned at this Summit.”

“With Continuous Delivery the new norm for software development, there is a need in the marketplace to learn from those companies that have practiced the methodology for a while and learned a few things along the way,” said Christopher Seiwald, founder and CEO of Perforce. “Our customers were the early adopters of Continuous Delivery, which puts Perforce in a unique position to share their experiences and collective best practices with the rest of the industry.”

“Development teams are capable of delivering higher quality software faster than ever, and to unlock their true potential we need to remove the constraints they deal with on a day to day basis," said Thor Culverhouse, CEO of Skytap. “Removing the constraints related to test environment availability sets the foundation to achieve continuous integration and continuous delivery, the goal our customers are driving towards."
